![]() The tokens don’t do anything special, but they are fun to find plus, it fits the whole vibe of the game with having to solve puzzles and finding a key. Not all items player’s see are going to be needed, but it will be worth picking up everything you find and inspecting it you never know what it may contain.Along with solving the main puzzle within each room, players have the opportunity to find tokens. If you are like me, you will be picking up everything and anything, hoping it is useful to the solution. This is also what makes Escape Simulator so addictive, is that I can play one room a day or play five in a day there is no limit to the amount a person can play and when they play them.Because each puzzle is in a room, the levels can feel small at times, but this doesn’t make it easy, but instead sometimes makes it harder to get a grasp on what to look for. Besides the three main themes in the game, players can create their own Escape Rooms or play the community rooms adding endless hours of replayability. Some of the rooms were easy, and others were a tad harder, but currently, I have played one room from each of the three themes (Egypt, Space, Mansion). Luckily each room offers hints for players if they do get stuck, but at the start, I didn’t even realise they were hints (even though they were telling me what to do and I was doing them).Like a proper Escape Room, players need to search the room for clues, with each clue leading to the next and so on, until they are able to escape. ![]() The puzzles can take about 20 minutes each, possibly longer, depending on how fast players realise what they are doing. Choosing from three different types of themes, each with five different puzzles. But how is the home experience compared to the real thing? Like any simulator, this is as close to the real thing we will get.Escape Simulator is a first-person puzzle-solving game where one or two players are put in a room and are tasked with finding the key and escaping the room. Now I finally had the chance to experience Escape Rooms in the comfort of my own home. If there was ever a game that encapsulated the feel of Escape rooms, it was this. I don’t know what it was about this new thing I enjoyed, but I needed a way to experience it again, but for some reason, there were no games based on it at the time, even though it fits the genre perfectly. That was until recently when I had the pleasure of playing the superb Escape Simulator. Personally, I have been to one, maybe two, before lockdown occurred, but it was such a fantastic experience it was one of the few things I always said I needed to do again. ![]() Personally, I have been to one, maybe two, before lockdown occurred,One of the things I have missed from being in lockdown is Escape Rooms. ![]() ![]() The Jewish prayer book, the Siddur, teaches, “Nishmat kol chai tivarekh et-shimcha, YHWH elohenu” - “The breathing of all life, praises your Name, YHWH our Elohim.” Many rabbis know the importance of the Tetragrammaton YHWH in relation to breath. The final heh in Yah contains a mappiq dot indicating the heh is to be pronounced as a full aspirated consonant “YaH,” rather than just the qamets vowel “Ya,” adding the breathy “h” sound to Yahh. ![]() It is vowel pointed to “Yah” (yod, qamets, heh) twice in the text. HalleluYah.” Psalm 150:6 retains the short form Yah in the Masoretic text. In Psalm 150:6 Scripture says: “Let every thing that hath breath praise Yah. Yahweh’s very breath filled life into the lungs of man, Genesis 2:7 7:22. Ruach literally means breath, wind or spirit. Yahweh’s Holy Spirit is called the Ruach HaKodesh in Hebrew. Maybe this is why David wrote: “I will bless Yahweh at all times His praise shall continually be in my mouth.” Psalms 34:1. Our very sustenance is the air we breathe. ![]() Yahweh told Moses in response to his question, what shall I call You, in Exodus 3:14 said: “I Am that I Am.” I Am is from the verb of existence HaYah in Hebrew, which means to become, come to pass, as well as sustain. It is no accident that the Tetragrammaton is made up of semi-vowel letters. Vowels are spoken with the open mouth and to inhale and exhale air you must open your mouth. I am also convinced they considered yod, heh, and waw as matres lectionis and I believe the Hebrew tells the story. Could Josephus be indicating the name is an onomatopoeia (formation of a word from the sound associated with it)? I’m pretty convinced he is. In Biblical Hebrew they are used for the unchangeable vowel combinations in Masoretic vowel pointing.Īncient Jewish historian Flavius Josephus backs this up in his description of the inscription on the miter of the high priest: “A mitre also of fine linen encompassed his head, which was tied by a blue ribbon, about which there was another golden crown, in which was engraven the sacred name: it consists of four vowels,” The Wars of the Jews, 5.235. The yod, heh, and waw (which make up the Tetragrammaton) are semivowel letters in Hebrew, commonly called matres lectionis, from the Latin “mothers of reading” and are consonants that are used as vowels. Inhale “Yah” and exhale “weh,” or you can exhale Yah and inhale weh. The uniqueness of this two syllable form YaH-WeH can indeed be breathed, try it. Is it possible that with every breath you take you are breathing the name Yahweh? It has been said the Jewish sages associated the name with breath. ![]() |
